Description
PellonĀ® 986F Lightweight Fusible Fleece is a one-sided fusible fleece that adds a layer of softness, body, and stability to home decorating, craft and apparel sewing. No Pinning! No Basting! No Sewing! Can be fused to fabric, cardboard, or wood. It is completely sewing machine safe.
Note: Always pre-test with a swatch of your fabric prior to use to make sure it is compatible with the fusible. It is recommended to pre-wash all fabrics to remove any coatings that might interfere with the fusible. Do not use fabric softener.
Most of our products have either a dot adhesive or a spray adhesive. The dot adhesive is on the rough side, where you can usually see the dot. The spray adhesive is the shiny side. When in doubt, take a small sample and test it covering both sides with a paper towel or fabric so you can ensure that you do not make any fusing mistakes.
Directions for Use:
1. Cut Lightweight Fusible Fleece to desired size.
2. Place on ironing surface with fusible side up. Place fabric on top of fleece with right side up.
3. To fuse, press firmly in place for approximately 10 seconds. Repeat, lifting and slightly overlapping iron until all interfacing is fused. Let fabric cool, then check bond.
Tips:
-For a light bond: With iron at Wool/Steam setting, iron fabric in place. For most applications, this should hold the fleece for easy handling while the project is stitched.
-For an extra-strong bond: Cover fleece and fabric with a thin, damp press cloth. With the iron at Wool/Steam setting press in place for 10-15 seconds. Repeat, overlapping iron until entire area is fused.
-For additional loft, use more than one layer of fleece.
