Beginner - Machine Magic with Decorative Stitches Workshop

Are you primarily quilting and/or using just a few of your machine functions and know there is more to your machine?  If this sounds familiar this class is designed for you.  We will look at decorative stitches included with your unique machine and discuss the infinite possibilities with this entire menu of stitching possibilities.  Robin will demonstrate how to use the BERNINA features that assist in making your decorative stitches come to life in combination mode, mirror image, pattern repeat and so much more.  This workshop will include getting you started on a decorative stitch book and a very useful decorative stitch project so that you can apply what you’ve learned.  You will want to embellish future projects after this workshop. All experience levels are welcome.

Cost: The class fee is just $60 per person + materials (see below)

Materials:

• Your BERNINA sewing machine and machine manual
• All the presser feet that came with your machine at purchase date
• Machine Manual
• Machine Oil and Brush
• Decorative Machine Threads a variety of colours and weights 
• Microtex size 80 needles
• I meter of white, beige or black 100% solid cotton for the stitch book
• Medium weight fusible stabilizer 2 meters
• 10 pages of 8 ½ x 11” card stock paper
• Fabric Glue Stick
• Fat Quarter of a wide striped fabric
• Neutral thread for sewing (grey, white or beige)
• Rotary Cutter
• Small Cutting Mat
• 6 x 24” ruler
• Scissors
• Seam ripper
• Thread stand (optional)
