Description
This class has if for the embroiderer who has taken a beginner class and is eager for more exciting possibilities with their BERNINA Embroidery machines.
We will take a deeper dive into the stabilizers for more advanced techniques & fabric, change the size and orientation of designs and learn more about advanced machine embroidery techniques like appliqué, free standing lace, in-the-hoop projects and more. The possibilities with these amazing embroidery machines are endless. We will work on some fun class projects so that skills can be mastered.
Class Details
Cost: The class fee is just $60 per person + materials (see below)
Materials:
- BERNINA Sewing Machine & Embroidery Module & all cords and foot pedal
- All hoops that came with your machine
- Centering template and clips that came with your embroidery hoops
- Machine Oil
- Machine Manual
- Embroidery Needles 90/14 (Schmetz or BERNINA preferred)
- USB Stick (must have black inside the USB connection end and 1 to 16 GB is fine).
- BERNINA USB stick is great as well & is initialized to work with BERNINA machines
- Machine embroidery weight thread in various colours like Glide, Magnifico, Isacord, Gamut or Mettler machine embroidery thread, assortment of colours (please note Isacord, Gamut and Mettler are not carried at our store.
- Bobbin weight thread – 60 Wt. 100% Polyester Recommended (usually finer than machine embroidery thread)- white
- 505 Quilt Basting spray or basting pins (optional)
- Machine embroidery tape (optional but helpful)
- Your lap top and charging cord (optional if you want to understand how to transfer designs from OESD)
- Blue wash out pen
- Ruler for cutting fabric- 6 x 12”
- Rotary cutter
- Embroidery Snips
- Note pad, pen & paper
- Your lunch
- A willingness to have fun with embroidery!
* There is a minimum of 6 participants for this class. If we do not have enough students to run the class, you will be notified via email and the cost of the class will be refunded.
