Threads are regularly spaced and blue grid lines help me place my stitches. The rigidity of the waste canvas makes it possible to stitch without a hoop and use teeny squares to embroider small motifs.
I am using this to learn tatreez embroidery and enjoy it very much so far.

Worked perfectly. Soaking it for a few minutes in hot water made it pull apart perfectly. Great price, too!
